Temp-Mail.im Terms of Service

By accessing, browsing, interacting with, or connecting to the Temp-Mail.im website, webmail clients, browser extensions, or associated REST APIs (collectively referred to as the "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and unequivocally agreed to be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our accompanying Privacy Policy.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "Developer") and Temp-Mail.im. If you disagree with any portion of these terms, you must immediately terminate your use of and access to our infrastructure.

Temp-Mail.im provides high-performance, short-lived, disposable email addresses and instantaneous web-based inboxes. The Service is engineered strictly as an inbound-only receiving gateway powered by serverless Cloudflare Workers, D1 SQL transactional caching, and WebSocket event pipelines.

Our infrastructure is specifically designed to facilitate:

• Instant receipt of software verification codes, One-Time Passwords (OTPs), and magic activation links.
• Rapid developer quality assurance (QA), CI/CD pipeline automation, and transactional email testing.
• Proactive protection of personal and corporate inboxes against database leaks, commercial spam, and profiling trackers.

We enforce a strict, zero-tolerance policy against unlawful, destructive, or malicious exploitation of our network. You expressly warrant and agree that you shall NOT engage in, facilitate, or promote any of the following prohibited behaviors:

• Criminal & Illicit Operations: Violating local, national, or international laws, trade sanctions, or export regulations.
• Network Sabotage & Exploitation: Attempting to probe, decompile, DDoS, brute-force, or disrupt our mail transfer agents (MTAs), edge workers, or API endpoints.
• Fraud & Impersonation: Using disposable identities to impersonate government bodies, banking institutions, law enforcement, or corporate representatives.
• Phishing & Malware Relaying: Processing, receiving, or relaying weaponized payloads, ransomware, trojans, or credential-stuffing kits.
• Aggressive Scraping: Deploying unthrottled, unauthorized headless bots that degrade infrastructure stability for legitimate global users.

We actively cooperate with verified law enforcement inquiries and employ automated WAF telemetry and Cloudflare Turnstile verification to isolate and block abusive actors.

The cornerstone of Temp-Mail.im's privacy promise is its automated self-purging lifecycle. By using our platform, you acknowledge and agree to the following data lifecycle rules:

1. All received emails, sender headers, bodies, and attachments are held in volatile edge storage and are automatically, permanently deleted after 20 minutes from arrival.
2. Manually triggering the Delete button performs an immediate hard purge (0ms) across all distributed edge nodes.
3. Client-side persistent caching operates exclusively within your local device's browser localStorage vault; no backup copies exist on our central servers.
4. Irreversible Destruction: Once a mailbox or message has expired or been deleted, it is cryptographically unrecoverable. Our team cannot recover expired data under any scenario.

Due to the temporary, ephemeral nature of disposable inboxes, you explicitly agree NEVER to use Temp-Mail.im for high-value services where account recovery or security validation depends upon long-term email accessibility.

Temp-Mail.im disclaims all liability for any account lockouts, financial losses, or forfeiture of digital assets arising from the misuse of temporary addresses for permanent services.

We welcome developers to utilize our public and authenticated endpoints for testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software verification workflows subject to our Fair Use Quotas:

• Rate Limiting: Standard client requests are limited to maintain global service quality. Excessive or abusive query bursts will receive standard HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) throttles.
• Origin & Header Verification: Authorized API requests must provide valid headers (such as X-API-Key or authorized browser CORS origins).
• Bot Mitigation: Automated interaction must comply with Cloudflare Turnstile token validation where enforced.

All visual designs, typography, brand icons, source code, stylesheets, logos, and custom UI components comprising Temp-Mail.im are the exclusive intellectual property of Temp-Mail.im and are protected under international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property treaties.

We reserve full authority to:

• Introduce, rotate, or retire domain names across our active MX receiving pool to maintain peak deliverability.
• Deploy security patches, UI improvements, and feature updates without prior individual notification.

While our global multi-region edge deployment strives for 99.9% uptime and sub-second push delivery, the Service is provided strictly on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEMP-MAIL.IM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT INCOMING MESSAGES WILL NEVER BE SUBJECT TO THIRD-PARTY SENDER DELAYS, DNS RECURSION LAG, OR NETWORK INTERRUPTIONS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL TEMP-MAIL.IM, ITS CORE CONTRIBUTORS, OPERATORS, OR INFRASTRUCTURE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE, INABILITY TO USE, OR RELIANCE UPON THE SERVICE.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Temp-Mail.im from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your infringement of third-party rights.
